WEST TEXAS BBQ BASH CELEBRATES WEST TEXAS WITH PITMASTER COOKOFF, MUSIC FESTIVAL, CAR SHOW, AND CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS

Monahans, TX– The West Texas BBQ Bash Committee, in collaboration with West Texas business leaders, the Monahans Chamber of Commerce, and several charitable organizations, is thrilled to bring the 5th Annual West Texas BBQ Bash to the thriving community of West Texas. This annual event promises to make a significant positive impact in the community and is scheduled to take place on October 19th.

The entire West Texas community is cordially invited to attend the West Texas BBQ Bash, a day filled with mouth-watering pitmaster cookoff competitions, a lively music festival, and an exciting car show. As a gesture of gratitude to the community, entry to the event is completely free for everyone. Additionally, free parking will be available on-site. Attendees can relish in all-you-can-eat food until supplies last, and complimentary refreshments will also be provided. Moreover, responsible adults will have the opportunity to enjoy free beer on tap. Families with children can delight in the covered bouncy city and face painting activities.

This BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage) event encourages attendees to bring their folding chairs for their comfort and convenience. Participating cook teams will compete against each other to showcase their culinary prowess in preparing the best brisket, chicken, and ribs. Furthermore, every cook team will serve the public with their most creative appetizers, vying for the coveted People's Choice vote from event attendees.

In addition to the thrilling cookoff, the West Texas BBQ Bash will feature a vibrant music festival showcasing talented artists and bands. Attendees can enjoy a variety of genres, from country and rock to blues and folk, ensuring a diverse and entertaining experience for all music enthusiasts.

Car enthusiasts will also have the opportunity to marvel at a spectacular car show, displaying a wide range of classic, vintage, and customized vehicles. Whether you have a passion for hot rods, muscle cars, or unique automobiles, the car show promises to captivate and inspire attendees of all ages.

In a rare and extraordinary addition to the experience, attendees will have the opportunity to witness the annular eclipse of the sun. As the day turns to night and then back to day again, this celestial spectacle promises to be a truly awe-inspiring moment.

The West Texas BBQ Bash is proud to announce that all funds raised during the event will be donated to two deserving beneficiaries: the Monahans Volunteer Fire Department and Monahans Kids Zone. In recognition of their invaluable contributions to the community and the Permian Basin, a check will be presented to these exceptional organizations following the event. 

The West Texas BBQ Bash Committee, along with West Texas business leaders, the Monahans Chamber of Commerce, and the charitable organizations involved, would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the Ward County officials and community for their continued support and participation in this exciting event.

The event will take place at the Ward County Arena, located at 10th and, S Mabel St, Monahans, TX 79756. Gates will open at 11:00 AM, and the festivities will take place all day and into the evening.
